(Yeah, sometimes I randomly spurt out phrases in Spanish. . . My apologies, in advance. . . Especially if you're a native speaker and twitch every time you see a mistake in my grammar. . . )
I saw some other introduction threads on this board, so I figured I might as well start one too. . .
I'm Angie. Call me Angie, Ang, Angela, whatever amuses you most. The "Kinsington" thing is just a fake last name I use on the internet; it's origin is from a time when a friend of mine used to call me "Angie-kins". Just in case you're curious. Which you're probably not.
I stumbled upon this forum a couple of days ago when I was Googling for a picture for a new sig-banner (which never ended up getting created ), and I just remembered it, so I decided to join because so few friends of mine actually listen to MCR.
I hate to admit it, but I don't actually own any MCR albums; they shouldn't take that personally, though, because over the past five or six years or so, I've bought maybe 15 or 20 CD's, tops, because it's just too much trouble for me to get in my car and drive across town to the music store. I usually just borrow my friend's CD's or listen to online genre radios (like pandora.com; you should check that out). I have bought a couple of MCR tracks for my MP3 player, though, of course, and I'm pretty sure I've heard a good majority of their music, and I can't think of a single song by them I didn't like for one reason or another.
Just curious, why do you guys like MCR? I like them because, as every fan seems to say, they let you know it's okay to be messed up. Nobody's really "normal", and a lot of us are far from it, and that's just fine. I like to think that not everybody disapproves of you just because you've got issues or because you don't conform to every mold your friends or family or society gives you.
One last thing I should probably say. I am proud to say that I really don't think I fit into the "fangirl" or "teenie" category. Yes, I think Gerard is attractive, and yes, I do have a folder on my PhotoBucket account just for him, and yes, said folder has like fifteen pages (lol ). There's nothing wrong with that. However, I firmly believe that everyone should realize that there is so much more to Gerard and so much more to the band than the fact that he's attractive. And honestly, one of the reasons I'm drawn to him is because of his personality and his message which shine through when he performs with the band.
Hmm. So yeah. I'm a writing- and language-oriented person, so I'm very verbose (here: clicky), as you can tell by my introduction. The sad part? I've been known to have even longer posts in the past on forums. I'll have my good friend Ash join this forum sometime; she'll vouch for that. I hope you guys can stand me.
Edit: Wow. Um, yeah, I'm really not as much of a tight-ass as I made myself out to be in this post. I'm usually quite random and carefree on forums, actually. Don't worry, I'm sure I'll stop being so serious soon enough.
