Heh heh. Okay I will..
Gerard stood out side her house, pack of beer at hand, cell phone to his ear. It rang once.. Twice..
"Hello?"
"Hey beautiful." He smiled.
"Hi! Ready?"
"Look out side." He replied. He saw her look through the window. She grinned and waved.
"I'll be right out." She said. He nodded and hung up. The door opened and she stepped out in the dress. He couldn't help but hide his smile when he saw it. The black ripped wedding dress with red lace on the skirt.
"Aiden hates that dress." He told her. She came to him.
"It's why I wear it. That and you like it so much." They crossed the street to the cometary and went through the gates.
"So how did he react to finding you here?" He asked softly.
"He wasn't happy.. But that was mostly because he didn't get the satisfaction of blaming you for my absence. He loves to hate you." She said.
"He's not worth a girl like you." He smirked and they sat at a mausoleum. They drank in silence as he thought of what to say.. Or more, how to say it. He took a deep breath. "Hey Lenore.. There's something I've been meaning to tell you for a long time. I was always just too pussy shit to say it.. Um. I..." She took his hand.
"Tell me anything, Gee. I won't be mean about it, I swear." He swallowed.
"I love you." He said. "You mean the world to me and I need you. Aiden, you're too good for him. You deserve more than him. More than me too, but I- I'm selfish. I need you more than any one better would. I love you." He shut his eyes waiting for a slap in the face or for her to laugh at him. But she said nothing.
"I love you too." She said finally. He opened his eyes and stared at her. "I do, Gerard. I love you." He felt a wave of exitment and urgency rush through him. He took her face in his hands.
"Then run away with me." He said quickly. "Marry me."
"Gerard.." He interrupted her.
"We can leave this town. We'll go wherever you want and we'll get married. Paris, even. Italy. I don't care. Money's not an object. We'll start over and the world will be our's. You'll be happy! We'll be happy! We can go to Washington. I know you've always wanted to go there because of the rain. We can go to Washington and.."
"Gerard, Aiden. I'm married to Aiden." She said. He frowned.
"Divorce him. Oh God I need you. I'll help you get away from him. Anything." He said. She took a deep breath.
"I can't. I'm scared.. He- he'll hurt you. I'd die if he hurt you, Gerard."
"Lenore please!" He cried. She burst into tears and he saw that he was pressuring he too much. "I'm sorry. Please don't cry, Lenore. I'll do anything for you. Just don't cry."
"I love you Gerard. But I can't leave him.. I'm so afraid." He wiped her tears away and looked her deeply in the eyes.
"Babe you can do this. I'll do whatever you need me to do. I won't let him touch you and he sure as hell ain't gonna hurt me. We'll get through this, Alright? No pressure. We'll find a way. Okay? Don't cry. We're alright. I love you." She smiled.
"You're wonderful Gerard." She told him. He hugged her.
"Not as wonderful as you, Babe." He said. She shuttered and he took off his jacket and wrapped it around her.
"Thank you." She whispered. He nodded and she looked up at the moon, smiling. "If I could stay in this moment forever I would."
"No don't say that. There are better times for us ahead and if you were stuck in this moment you'd miss them."
"I love you so much Gerard." She said. He put his hand under her chin and smiled at her.
"I love you too, doll." He murmered. For the first time in his life, he was happy. They finished their beers and she lay in his arms. She was almost asleep when they heard Aiden yelling. She sat up and he felt her heart race.
"Where the fuck is she!!" Aiden yelled. "Damn bitch should be kept on watch. Bet she's fucking that creep. Stupid little whore needs to learn where her place is." She looked at Gerard and he looked at her.
"Gee I'm scared." She whispered.
"Shhh. You're safe." He said. He leaned and kissed her deeply and for a moment he forgot where he was. He was in heaven. She pulled away and smiled at him. He smiled back. Suddenly a pair of search lights flashed in their eyes and he couldn't see her any more.
"Just like I thought." Aiden said. "She's with the local vampire."
"You folks have a good night." A police officer said. He walked away.
"The cops? Aiden I told you I was going out." She said, shielding her eyes.
"It's almost midnight. What am I supposed to expect? That you're with a friend? Please, honey, I'm no fool. You probably just finished screwing this creep. Did he pay well?" She glared at him.
"Aiden shut your mouth!" She cried.
"Excuse me?!" He yelled. "Babe, you don't go around and sleep with other men then tell me to shut up about it."
"I didn't sleep with him!" She yelled.
"Don't you scream at me, you little tramp! Get your ass in the house!"
"NO!" She screamed, standing. "You can go home alone!"
"Lenore," Gerard said.
"What did you say to me?!" Aiden roared. "You don't fucking scream at me! You get your ass in the car!" He grabbed her wrist.
"Get off me! I'm not your property!"
"You're my wife! I demand you come home!"
"You can't boss me around you disgusting controlling bastard!"
"Bitch!" Aiden slapped her and she fell to the ground, hitting her head on the cement.
"Lenore!" Gerard cried. He took her into his arms and noticed blood drip from her hair.
"She deserves a freak like you." Aiden smiled. She stared up at them in silence.
"She sure as hell doesn't deserve an ass like you." Gerard growled.
"Excuse me? You're in no place to talk to me, buddy. Now give me my wife before I press rape charges."
"You can't blame me for raping her if she doesn't agree that it was rape." Gerard said.
"She'll agree if she's smart and doesn't want to get beat."
"You beat her and I'll take your ass to court." Gerard growled. She shook her head as tears fell from her eyes.
"shh." She stood. "Thank you Gerard, for the beer. I'll see you soon."
"No you won't. You'd better not leave the house for this faggot again." Aiden growled.
"Please Aiden, be kind. He's never done anything to wrong you but stand up for me."
"You should stand up for your wife. I shouldn't have to pick sides." Gerard hissed. She gave him a look and he fell silent.
"Good night, Gerard. I- I'll see you. Okay?" Her eyes were so sad it stung him. He looked down and nodded.
"Yeah. You take care and call me if you need anything. And think on what I said." She nodded.
"Eight thee one." She said. He looked up.
"What?" She ignored him and she walked away with Aiden.
"You look like a witch in that dress." He growled. "You better take it off when we get home."
"Yes." She answered voice dead. Gerard watched after them, wondering what the hell eight three one meant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
;D Hah it took more than I thought to get here. Geez!
Like how I interpreted the Cometary Drive lyrics? The dress her husband hates... Drinking by the mausoleum door? Search lights? Mmmhmmm. Oh and eight three one is an important part, so pay attention.
Woooohhhh!
